It was a beautiful day for a ride on the York Heritage Trail. Six riders left the Seven Valley’s parking lot and headed for Maryland Line. After a brief rest and relief stop a Hanover Junction, we continued on to Glen Rock. Jack took special notice on a new monument on the square honoring the Glen Rock Carol Singers. Since 1848 they gather each Christmas Eve and Carol around the area all night long. I suspect that Jack may have been one of the original singers. He denied it. We took his picture in front of the monument to prove he was there and still alive. He certainly resembled the guys standing on that pedestal. We continued on to New Freedom and had a wonderful lunch at the Pizza Shop. I highly recommend it if you are in the area. After lunch we made a quick trip to the Mason Dixon line and then returned to Seven Valleys to complete our journey.
