Other Special Rides Ride. 35.2miles @ 13.2 mph

Chris Wright (L), Howard Ross, Mike Prestosh, Scott Silverstone, Howard Davidson, Joe Mushalko, Larry Riley (S).

With October's weather still reminding us of August, 7 of us gathered at Koons Park in Linglestown for a Tuesday morning ride.  We headed west on back roads thru Linglestown and came out to Wildwood Park.  Heading north on Front St gave us a beautiful morning view of the Susquehanna and we took a restroom stop at Fort Hunter.

We then proceeded up Fishing Creek Valley Rd, which had very little traffic and a lot of great fall colors.   On the way were were treated to the acrobatics of the A-10 Warthogs flying out of Indiantown Gap; lots of low flying and tight turns made for an impressive display.  A second rest stop at Manada Golf Course gave us a chance to check out the awesome engineering on Joe's Trek Madone and prep for a few steep hills ahead.

We headed back to Linglestown via Moyer Rd and Howard took us on a nice diversion up Pheasant Rd.  At the end we took the long way around Koons Park so we could all hit the 35 mile mark.  Several riders had ridden into Koons Park from nearby homes and easily went over 40 miles for the day.

Very enjoyable ride with great company.  Ride link below.
