East Shore Flex Ride. 25miles @ 12.9 mph
Ken Frohnert (L), Bob Reynolds
Two riders headed out from Little Buffalo State Park on a pretty nice Thursday afternoon; at least by your average January riding day. Bob had ridden the Bike4Books Ride a few years ago but had not ridden in this area recently. Bob and I hit a slight headwind for the first few miles but nothing very challenging compared to some of the rides the fall/winter. The sun was out for the majority of the ride. At the mid-ride break we watched a guy running a log skidder; we were impressed at the driver's confidence in climbing some very steep terrain with the machine. All in all we had a very pleasant ride with no issues. Thanks for joining me today Bob!
We were right in the middle of the projected ride speed of 12-13.5 mph at 12.9 mph. Ride distance was 25 miles a bit short of the 26 miles in my announcement.
