It was a beautiful late winter day for a bike ride. Ken originally advertised this ride for 1:00 PM but he had to cancel due to a conflict. So, at the last minute, we rescheduled the ride for 2:00 PM just to get out on a gorgeous afternoon.
We made a stop at the Abrams & Weakely General Store along 6th Street so Dick could pick up some of his Greenbelt fliers. I was impressed with their selection of “boutique” dog foods and paraphernalia (never knew about that second “r”). Dick then distributed the fliers at various kiosks along the Greenbelt.
We enjoyed an easy ride around the Greenbelt. We took one spur across the Harvey Taylor Bridge to 2nd Street and then back across the Market Street Bridge to Harrisburg. There was one ominous looking large tree that fell across the Greenbelt but got hung up overhead on another tree between Derry Street and Market Street. Hopefully, that hanging tree will be removed before it crashes down on the Greenbelt.
Thanks to Dick for being the unofficial brightly clad sacrificial sweeper when we needed to take the lane due to construction along Front Street just north of the Rockville Bridge. Wasn’t that wonderful of him?
