Casual - – For the casual group cyclist who wants to socialize but likes some distance. Generally flat to hilly terrain. Average speed 11-13 mph, slow easy pace on hills, with distances 15 – 30 miles. Stops bout every 10 miles. No rider is dropped. Check the description of the specific ride for more precise pace.

Ride Description: Saturday or Sunday "ad hoc" social rides (not EVERY week) in which we carpool/caravan to a trail/route outside the immediate metropolitan Harrisburg area or have weekend camping/biking adventures. Travel to venues will range from 45 minutes to 3 hours away. These are C/D+ rides which will have a 9-13 mph average and range from 20-45 miles.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY FRIDAY MORNING, JULY 14TH IF YOU PLAN ON JOINING EM AND I, SO I KNOW HOW MANY SITES TO RESERVE!!

Time to schedule another camping/biking weekend.  We will ride the Pine Creek Rail Trail - Grand Canyon in PA (62 miles of crushed stone – mileage each day is up for discussion) and camp in Leonard Harrison State Park Campground in Wellsboro ($15/night for tent site; showers $4/night). 

Arrived Friday afternoon/evening 9/1/17, leave Tuesday, 9/5/17 with the hope of some good fall color!

Helmets are required on HBC rides.  A trained Ride leader is obligated to collect waiver signatures prior to the ride to be an HBC Sanctioned Ride.

Show and Go Rides are NOT HBC Sanctioned.
