Ride Description:

Note start time of 9:30 am.  Saturday Morning temperatures are forecasted to be unseasonably cold, so this week only we will be starting at 9:30 am.  If it isn't windy (not supposed to be) and we have some sun, the cold temperature should be tolerable.  I'll have extra hand and toe warmers of the chemical bean bag type for anyone who needs them.  Meet at Memorial Lake, Middle Road Entrance, where the family restroom is open year around. Plan to ride about 27 miles at an average speed of about 12 mph out to Lake Strauss where we will take a short break before returning. There are a few hills on this route, but nothing too difficult.  Ride with GPS shows the planned route to have about 1300 feet of climbing.  Other restroom possibilities along the way, if needed, are Love's Truck Stop, Lickdale Speedway and Jonestown PSP Station.  If we get started on time, we should be back to our vehicles before noon.

If the weather isn't suitable for cycling, I will send a cancellation email to our distribution list no later than 8:00 Saturday morning.  If the weather is questionable, check your emails, call, or text me before you leave home.  Hope you can make it!
