The Saturday Morning Social will meet this week at the Palmyra Boro Municipal Center, 325 South Railroad St., Palmyra, PA 17078. This is a Lebanon Valley Bicycle Club ride and one of our east shore favorites. Plan to ride about 28 miles of rolling terrain at 11-12 mph as we weave in and out of the scenic farmlands of Dauphin and Lebanon Counties. There is one significant hill at the half way point, but it isn’t too bad and we will regroup at the top before continuing. The second half of the ride is mostly flat. Ride with GPS indicates a total elevation gain of 1300 feet for this route.
There is a port-o-potty at the half way point in Colebrook. If necessary, we can refill our water bottles about halfway where there is a coin operated spring with water costing .25 per gallon. I’m confident you will like this ride if you can tolerate a relatively slow 11-12 average mph pace.
In the event of rain, I will send an email cancellation notice no later than 8:00 o’clock Saturday morning. If the weather is questionable, check your emails, call or text me before you leave home. Hope to see you there!
