Join us this week at Memorial Lake State Park, Middle Road Entrance, at 9:30 am, and plan to ride about 25 miles at 12-13 mph over the typical rolling terrain of beautiful Lebanon County. There is a heated restroom available at the start location.
This will be the ride to the Ono Water Works area that was scheduled once in December and once in January, but cancelled both times due to weather and road conditions. Perhaps the third time will be the charm. It is a 25 mile loop to the Ono area and back. We have done this ride a few times in the past and everyone seems to enjoy it. It is on mostly country roads thru farmlands and wooded areas with a few nice, scenic views. We usually see some wildlife, as well as many farm animals. There is only one fairly steep hill on Black's Bridge Road, but we have climbed it many times in the past and no one has ever really had any difficulty with it.
If the weather isn't suitable for cycling, I will send a cancellation email to the Saturday Morning Social email distribution list no later than 8:00 Saturday morning. If the weather is questionable, check your emails or call/text/email me before you leave home.
I think you will enjoy this ride and hope you can make it.
If you are interested in a little shorter/little slower ride, the D Plus group is leaving at the same time from the same location. Check that email distribution list or the club website's upcoming rides section for details. If desired, riders can come together, join different rides, and meet up afterwards. No worries...both groups treat everyone like family!
