Ride Classification: D+
Social - - For the beginning cyclist who wants distance with an easy pace. Generally flat terrain and low traffic roads as much as possible. Average speed 9-11 mph, distances vary. Frequent stops. No rider is dropped
Pace: 9-11 mph
Terrain: Flat to rolling
Ride Description: These rides are for those interested in a more leisurely pace and are scheduled in an ad-hoc fashion. The pace runs D to D plus ( 8-12 mph), with distances 8 – 25 miles. Check the notice for leader name, exact pace and distance.

Let's go for a ride on the NW Lancaster River Trail to see the long row of cherry trees in bloom along Front Street in Marietta. We might see some eagles nesting along the way, too.

Approx. 22 miles at about 10-11 mph.

This trail is almost all paved but there are two short sections of dirt.

Start: 10:30 at the Bainbridge Trailhead. Ride from there to Columbia and back, stopping for lunch at McCleary's Public House.  http://www.mcclearyspub.com

I'll cancel by 8:30 a.m. if necessary.

Take Route 441 to Bainbridge and look for the trail sign to direct you to the trailhead. Please note that to the north of Marietta, there is another trailhead sign near Falmouth, but that section of the trail is not complete and there is no parking. There is a port-a-pot at the Bainbridge trailhead and others along the way.
