Rolling Terrain and Challenging HillsRide Description:
The ride will include the rolling terrain and challenging hills of eastern Dauphin and western Lebanon counties. There will be infrequent stops and any that are necessary. Riders should be capable of sustained effort for two to three hours or more.
The ride tomorrow out of East Hanover Park at 8:30. Try to be ready to depart by 8:30. We will ride about 40 miles, passing through the Monroe Valley. The intended average speed will be 14 to 15mph. Spotty showers are shown through about 7 a.m., but then not again until the evening. Temperatures are shown to be 65F at 8:00 a.m. and 76F at noon. So, that is good riding weather, and to that we will add good roads. Be sure to bring plenty of water or suitable drink with electrolytes to keep hydrated.
For those familiar with the old ride start location, we have been using a new one, not far from the burnt down diner. The parking lot is spacious at a more relaxed venue. Directions are at below.

From Hershey. Proceed North on Rt 39. Crossover route 22. After a mile or so, make a right onto Jonestown Road. Go about 2 miles and turn left onto Manada Gap road. Go 150 feet or so and make a left into the Parking lot of East Hanover Park and Township Municipal Center.
From the location of the (now burnt down) Grantville Diner. from 22 in front of the diner go north on Sandbeach Road, less than one mile to Jonestown Road. Make a left.
