Let's go for a ride on the NW Lancaster River Trail to see the long row of cherry trees in bloom along Front Street in Marietta. We might see some eagles nesting along the way, too.
Approx. 22 miles at about 10-11 mph.
This trail is almost all paved but there are two short sections of dirt.
Start: 10:30 at the Bainbridge Trailhead. Ride from there to Columbia and back, stopping for lunch at McCleary's Public House. http://www.mcclearyspub.com
I'll cancel by 8:30 a.m. if necessary.
Take Route 441 to Bainbridge and look for the trail sign to direct you to the trailhead. Please note that to the north of Marietta, there is another trailhead sign near Falmouth, but that section of the trail is not complete and there is no parking. There is a port-a-pot at the Bainbridge trailhead and others along the way.
