The first round of 12 bikes was so successful, that we are going for another round of bikes for happy children. Many thanks to AFSCME Council 13 for funding and pushing support for this great community service initiative.
We have 20 ($1,800) bikes for our community and we are having a tough time getting the word out to families of the opportunity. We need your help to get the word out to get in the applications.
This will be a quick turnaround. The due date for applications to my office is December 11. Variety will review the applications, select eligible children, contact parents to make arrangements for the fitting for the custom made bike.
The bikes are ordered from the manufacturer and should be available in January, just in time to get prepared for spring riding.
If you have questions, please contact me.
