Gorgeous weather and pumped up riders made for another successful race up Kings Gap! On Saturday August 31st, forty-five registered participants challenged the 3.3 mile course to the summit of Kings Gap where the proceeds of close to $700 went to benefit The Friends of Kings Gap, a volunteer organization that maintains the beauty of the park. Temperatures in the morning were PERFECT for racing, at right around 70 degrees. Riders took off one minute apart on their "race of truth" to the summit, blazing across the finish line. This year our top male rider was again John Selus from Mechanicsburg with a time of 11:22, which was 5 seconds faster than his winning time last year! On the female side, a new challenger emerged, Alissa Gindlesperger from Frederick MD. Her winning time was 14:36. Congratulations to John and Alissa!
