About this event
I'm offering a short-distance, low-elevation ride concurrent with Little Buffalo State Park's Apple Festival. Let's park at the old ranger station (across Little Buffalo Rd from the State Park office address listed). This is an abandoned lot where we can gather prior to the ride start time of 11:00 am. We will ride out just after 11:00 am, making a loop of about 10 miles and finishing at Shoaf's Mill where attendees can observe the mill in operation. Little Buffalo State Park's Apple Festival attractions include live music, grinding corn into meal, pressing apples into cider, and making apple butter. The park provides samples of corn bread and cider for tasting. There will not be food vendors so plan accordingly if you plan to spend time in the park after the ride. Please encourage cyclists looking for a shorter ride with a group to attend. The weather is forecasted to be comfortable with no rain until evening.
