Paxtang Parkway Trail Restoration – Construction Closure

Restoration work began on January 6, 2026 on the Paxtang Parkway Trail to improve the long-term safety and reliability of the trail. The work is expected to be complete in the second week of May 2026.

 

Work Area:

• From Market Street Road for approximately .4 miles

 

What’s Happening:

• Placement of a new 12-foot trail surface, with 4-foot grass shoulders on both sides

  • Replacement of the culvert under the trail

• Replacement of the Kline Plaza sewer line under the trail

• New timber rail fencing and gate

 

Trail Access:

• Closure is limited to the active construction area

• A posted detour is in place at both trail entrances

• Please respect all physical barriers and signage during construction
