About this event
Saturday's weather looks beautiful for a simple C ride. We'll depart at 9 AM from the Middle Road parking lot at Memorial Lake. Address is 18 Boundary Rd, Grantville 17028.
Dave Serff's D+ ride will also be departing from that location at the same time, so riders will have a choice of pace.
Our route will take us south and west, dropping down to Swatara Creek, before heading back north. The last 6 miles are a nice cruise down Mountain Rd. Distance is about 25 miles and elevation climb is 1000 ft. The steepest grade is 5%.
This is a C ride with average speed between 11 mph and 13 mph. I'm going to target 12 mph. No rider will be dropped.
Faster riders are welcome to go ahead, and the route link is below. If you wish to do more miles, you can finish with a lap around Memorial Lake for an additional 3.2 miles.
