Bill Baughman and I checked out the snow conditions at Lower Allen Township Park today. We thought it was too icy for X-county skiing so we snowshoed and that worked out well, although it was a pretty noisy trek since we were breaking ice with each step!



It's winter...we might as well enjoy it! I 'm ready to go back for more tomorrow. Care to join me? I'll be going on about a 2 mile snowshoe trek but you can take a longer or shorter route. It's pretty walking alongside the creek. Don't have snowshoes? There were enough boot tracks in the snow that I think walking in hiking boots would be ok, too, and using gaiters on your boots would be a good idea if you have them.



We'll meet at Lower Allen Township Park , 4075 Lisburn Road, Mechanicsburg at 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot by the red barn.



Please tell me if you are coming by 11:00 a.m. If I don't hear from anyone, I won't be there.
