About this event

Join Mark Riordan and Rick Begley on Sunday, September 6th at 11:30 AM for a moderately paced 4-mile hike (with a bit of a climb) to one of the scenic views at the Kings Gap Environmental Training Center. On a clear day you get a really cool view of the Hollow.

Afterwards, enjoy a pleasant afternoon of some good ol’ Celtic music at the Friends of Kings Gap’s season ending “Music on the Mountain”. The event will be featuring Celtic music by Charlie Zahm and Devilish Merry.

Meet for the hike at the top of the mountain in the Training Center parking lot (paved lot on the right just before the mansion) at 11:30 AM for the hike or just show up for the music. The music starts at 2 PM. No charge for the music, although donations are very much appreciated.

Bring your folding chair or a blanket to sit on, your cooler, snacks and some sunscreen! They often have food trucks and other venders present. Mark and Rick will try to arrive early, before the hike, to set up the HBC “EZ Up” pop-up at the back of the audience.

Note : Please plan to stay for some of the concert. DO NOT PLAN TO ATTEND JUST THE HIKE. The access road is extremely narrow and with people driving up to the concert, there is a good chance that you will not be allowed to descend with the traffic coming up.

Let Mark Riordan (MRiordan95@comcast.net) or Rick Begley (Limestoner@icloud.com) if you plan to attend.
