Our appearance at the Halloween Parade was a success last year and those participating asked to do it again. Therefore, we will make an appearance on the last Saturday of October at 10:00 am for the annual New Bloomfield Halloween Parade! Last year we won an award. The question is can we top our performance this year? Please consider joining this short, slow, fun, and festive ride through Perry County's county seat as the traditionally recognized "cycling season" draws to a close. And now, the details:
Meet at 10:00 am in the New Bloomfield Elementary School parking lot (it's near the New Bloomfield swimming pool (address below). We will plan to roll out between the floats and walkers but will adapt to whatever the day brings. Costumes, HBC jerseys, and festive colors are appreciated and appropriate. As always, don't forget your helmet. Bike decorations are encouraged as long as securely attached. Bring a friend too. We would love to get more visibility in Perry County, a long-time favorite riding area of the club. If you have questions, suggestions, large amounts of candy, or can confirm your participation, contact Ashley at aclenig@gmail.com. We will plan on a stop at Mamma's Pizza after the parade and ceremony.
