Big event on the Harrisburg east shore today,June 4, is the Capital Area Greenbelt Tour, 20 miles at your own pace. Registration is required. For details and to register go to caga.org (Capital Area Greenbelt Association). This is an important fundraiser that helps with maintenance and improvement of our treasured greenbelt trail.
You can do both rides! The Sociable finishes by about 8:30, so you can get to the HACC West Parking lot in good time for one of the later staggered starts of the Tour de Belt.
Nancy Sherer leads the Sociable today: she will also serve later this morning as a trail guide for the Tour.
As usual, meet between the bridges on City Island. We set off promptly at 7:15 to pedal for about 75 minutes, leisurely pace, 8-10 mph. No one will be left behind. Helmets required; water bottle recommended. New riders, families and young people are especially welcome. Route circles back to the Island. Optional on-your-own breakfast at Roxy's Cafe, N 3rd & North Street, Harrisburg.
