It is cold outside and the roads are slippery. So let‘s spin inside. Let’s spin at the new Jewish Community Center. Actually at the Symons Family Fitness Center located on the second floor of the Administration Building at 2986 North 2nd Street, Harrisburg. There is an underground parking garage, and the entrance is at the south end of the campus. See signs for Parking off 2nd Street near the cross walk. In the garage, opposite the drive-in entrance, is a buzzer/camera for entry. Buzz in and tell them you are coming for the fitness center, follow the path to the elevator, and go to the 2nd floor. We will gather there. There are lockers and showers and all sort of other exercise equipment (and other classes if you are interested). Arrival time – 10:15 AM If this is your first visit to the Harrisburg JCC Fitness area, they ask that you sign a waiver. If your insurance (Silver Sneakers, FitOn,etc.) covers fitness areas please bring that card. There is a drop-in charge of $10 per visit, if not covered otherwise. I have curated about an hour of excellent music - suitable for spinning, hill climbing, and just cruising along. It is based on a specific theme, to be revealed. Come (from the West Shore, from Hershey, and all over) and enjoy an indoor ride. Lunch afterwards at the Front Street Diner, at noon. If you simply want to join us for lunch, please let me know. Bike Tours by Linda and the non-profit September 11 National Memorial Trail Alliance will have a large display booth, to promote 2025 events and tours, including the Hershey Spring Cycling Weekend, May 16-18. Please visit phillybikeexpo.com for details on the Expo - tickets, parking, exhibitors, etc. This bike show is one of the largest in US! The 2024 show was sold-out, with 200 exhibitors and 5000 attendees.

Welcome to the Bike 4 Books Preregistration Site. Registrations come with a free lunch. Please make sure to select the correct registration option for the route you would like. The 2.5-mile ride will begin at 7 p.m. behind the Armed Forces Reserve Center on the 2900 block of Green Street in Harrisburg. Bikers will gather from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m. We will ride in SILENCE to the steps of the State Capitol where there will be a ceremony to memorialize those lost on Pennsylvania’s roads in 2024 . All levels and types of bikes are welcome. Helmets are mandatory for this ride and a black and/or red armband is worn in solidarity. The Harrisburg , Capital, Susquehanna, and Swatara ?Bike police will escort the riders from Division and Green Streets, down Front Street to State Street to the capitol steps.
